Spring Creek Pictures
_________________________
Our "ranch" (all 11 acres of it) was located on Spring Creek in the Dove
Creek subdivision, very near the spot where the two creeks merge.
Unfortunately, old age caught up with us and we were no longer able
to take care of the place so we sold it in January of 2014. :-(
Following are a few pictures of some of the more desirable portions of the property:
Unfortunately, much of it looks more like the pictures below.

And once in a great while, the Creek floods but at least the water ends up in the lakes.
There is an abundance of wildlife on the place.
We have seen deer, turkeys, rabbits, skunks, armadillos,
racoons, bobcats, snakes, horned toads, and a few other species.
Our personal favorite was a Ringtail (Bassariscus astutus) that we adopted for a pet.
Actually, he wasn't much of a real "pet" but he sort of tolerated us and stayed around.
He had taken up residence in an old barbecue grill that the previous owners had abandoned.
We made him a bed in it and started feeding him and he stayed close to his feed bowl.
He loved wieners and apples and we enjoyed providing them.
Unfortunately, after about 3 years, he disappeared and a few weeks later
we found his remains in a brush pile not far from his home.
We don't know if he just died of old age or if a larger preditor did him in.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. (1953 and 2007)
